Product Information

Protek’s KQ Direct Injection Plasma Surface Treatment Machine prepares narrow areas of a material before bonding or printing. It is designed for targeted surface treatment, including carton glue edges where a laminate, varnish or metal coating can make adhesion difficult.

Plasma treatment modifies the exposed surface to improve its receptiveness to the selected adhesive or subsequent process. A direct-injection nozzle concentrates treatment along a narrow path, helping address the required bonding area within a compatible production line.

The supplied range lists a treatment width of 6–10mm per head, with configurations containing one to four heads. Suitable systems can be integrated with folder gluers, box-making machines and compatible coding or printing lines. Protek can review your substrate, adhesive and production requirements; trials should establish the appropriate treatment settings and resulting bond.
