The KQ Servo Silicone Tape Applicator available from Protek is designed to guide and apply silicone release material in a compatible packaging production process. Servo control supports material feeding alongside suitable hot melt adhesive application equipment.
Silicone-coated release paper provides a removable covering for an adhesive strip. In a suitable peel-and-seal packaging design, the liner protects the adhesive until it is removed to close the pack. The release material, adhesive and application position need to be specified together.
The supplied specification lists a tape width of 10–35mm and an operating speed range of 0–100m/min. Protek can help assess the release-paper specification, adhesive equipment and production layout to establish the configuration required for your packaging closure.
